EmbryoScope™ and IDA Score: Science that gives hope

Success in fertility treatment today no longer depends only on the skilled hands of embryologists. Precise technology also plays a key role — and at the IVF Zlín Clinic, we make full use of it.

We use the advanced EmbryoScope™ system — a special time-lapse incubator that monitors embryo development 24 hours a day without the need for any manipulation. Every step is captured in thousands of images.

These data are then analyzed by artificial intelligence using the IDA Score™ (Intelligent Data Analysis Score). This enables us to accurately determine which embryo has the highest potential to lead to the birth of a healthy baby.

What is EmbryoScope™?

EmbryoScope™ is a special incubator that continuously monitors embryo development using time-lapse microscopy. Each embryo is photographed every 10 minutes for up to 6 days, without being removed from its optimal environment.

This means:
• No stress caused by handling
• Thousands of data points on its dynamic development
• The embryo can be evaluated not only statically, but also by its pace, rhythm, and pattern of cell division

What is IDA Score™?

IDA Score™ is artificial intelligence trained on hundreds of thousands of embryos and their known outcomes (implantation / birth). Based on EmbryoScope data, it calculates the probability of successful implantation — with accuracy beyond the human eye.
Each embryo receives a numerical score expressing its implantation potential — the statistical likelihood of leading to pregnancy.

Embryologist + AI = Data-based decision-making

Embryo selection is not left solely to the algorithm. AI does not assess the appearance, but the behavior of the embryo — which is crucial for clinical decisions.
The result is the selection of the embryo with the highest real potential, not just the one that “looks best.”
